We utilize the traditional, proven technique of sandblasting to create our beautiful, lasting markers. Sandblasting achieves a depth of approximately 1/8”, which lasts over generations and can be maintained easily. The Sierra White granite marker inscriptions are painted black, and the India Red, India Black, Regal Black, Tropical Green, and Blue Pearl marker inscriptions are painted white.
Yes, we can do photo and laser etchings. However, please note we feel there are some things you should know up front:
We think these types of designs are best suited for upright monuments, and not for flat markers, for several reasons. The main reason is outdoor environmental variables. Laser etchings are very shallow etchings and can only be done on black or dark grey granite. Our experience shows that traditional sandblast methods which give deep and clean blasting lines will stand the test of time – which is the whole purpose of a gravestone!! Laser methods offer more detail with fine lines at the expense of very shallow engraving; they may look “amazing” when they are brand-new, but how will that shallow engraving stand up over years and years in the elements? Many cemeteries have hard water which leaves mineral deposits and a white film on the stone, thus making a laser etched stone very difficult to read if not consistently maintained for life. Even with calcitic deposits, the traditional sandblasting we use can be read for a lifetime with little or no maintenance.
If your heart is still set on a laser etching, then we can certainly create one! Please contact us with your request.
Yes we can offer companion designs. The important thing is to contact the cemetery to make sure they allow companion markers in the size and type of marker you are ordering. For instance, some cemeteries will allow one flat marker for two side-by-side plots; some will require a separate marker for each plot. All cemeteries will have their own specific rules regarding what size and type of marker is allowed; so, again, we must stress how important it is that you contact them first to ensure you order something which they will approve.
All free shipments should be going to a commercial account such as a cemetery. (These makers are heavy – average weight is 100lbs, so it’s not something you want to be lifting if you can avoid it.) If you wish to have your headstone shipped somewhere other than a commercial account there will be additional shipping fees (requires the carrier to use a lift gate). Please note: you should check with the cemetery to confirm they will allow deliveries from outside carriers.
Please contact the cemetery for their rules regarding installation and who is allowed to perform this service. Let them know you are ordering a granite marker from an outside vendor. They will need to know the type and size of the marker. With this information they should be able to give you an accurate price and approval.
Usually no more than about 6 weeks. Our production goal is 4 weeks from the date of your approved layout. Once shipped, delivery can take anywhere between 1-3 weeks, depending on which state you are in. Once in a while, we may run low on stock due to unforeseen circumstances. If this should happen, we will notify you promptly of the time frame so you can let us know if it will still work with your needs.

Because our website features only a few of our most popular granite colors as well as a set number of popular designs, we do not have the same overhead associated with selecting, designing and creating the marker. Obviously, a brick-and-mortar location simply costs more to have operating, so when you use our simple and easy website offerings, we are able to pass on the savings to you!
